Dear friends in Christ,
Today we enter the quiet beauty of Advent—a season that gently invites us to step out of the noise and busyness of daily life and turn our hearts toward the coming of Christ.
The Scriptures this Sunday call us to stay awake, to be people whose eyes are open to God’s presence breaking into our lives. Advent reminds us that we don’t hope in our own strength; we hope in a God who has always kept His promises. Even when we feel stretched, tired, or uncertain about the future, Christian hope whispers: God is working. God is faithful. God will come.
I encourage you this week to pause intentionally—perhaps just a minute or two each morning—and pray, “Come, Lord Jesus.” Let that simple prayer open the door to grace.
Let it teach your heart to expect God to act. Let it remind you that the Lord is closer than we often realize.
As we light the first candle of the Advent wreath, may it shine like a small but steady flame of hope in your life. Let Christ awaken your heart and renew your trust in Him.
May God bless you and your family as we begin this holy season.
Pax et Bonum,
Fr. Andy
